Jerry Smith, B.S., M.Div., D.D.

Jerry has spoken to over 5,000 different audiences in the United States and around the world since 1973.
He has served as a pastor, president of two non-profit organizations, a television host, and the teacher and host of his own radio program.
He is the author of various books, newspaper articles, and seminars. His research has produced material in the areas of disciple training, small group organization, and theology. He has received numerous commendations for volunteer foreign mission work. In 2001 he was awarded a Crossings Pastor of the Year Award for North America and Canada.
Jerry has a B.S. Degree in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Divinity from United Christian Ministries International. He is a charter member of the American Association Of Christian Counselors.
In 2005 he and his wife, Sharon, relocated to Nashville,Tennessee to be with three of their four children, spouses, and grandchildren, and to establish the Smith House family project. Numerous newspaper articles have been written on this project. Jerry and Sharon were featured in the Faith And Values section of the Tennessean newspaper in 2006 and in 2007 a television documentary featured the project calling the Smith House the "House of Second Chances" because of the historical restoration and also for the work done with former addicts, prisoners, and homeless people - providing work, housing, and rehabilitation support. Jerry also serves on the board of Signal Hill Foundation a non-profit entity that supports benevolent and missionary causes around the world.
